The purpose of First Baptist Matthews Student Ministry is to partner with parents to produce spiritually maturing teenagers who Reach Up to God, IN to the Church and OUT to the world.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Sunday School Groups are structured by grade and are a great opportunity for Students to Reach IN to the Church through in depth Bible Study. Get involved in a Sunday School Group at 9 am on Sunday morning at the Student Center.
Student D-Groups meet at First Baptist Matthews on Sunday night from 5:00-7:00pm. Through these unique small groups, Students are challenged in their walk with Christ through Fellowship, Study and Accountability.
Our desire is for students to have an encounter with God (Reach UP) that has life changing results, to reach OUT by bringing unchurched friends to Wednesday night activities, and to reach IN by connecting and building life affirming relationships with one another. Because our student ministry is a hub for students from so many different schools we dedicate Wednesday night to building relationships and praying for one another. We do this through fun and intentional activities that point students toward Christ.
Wednesday is a great place for students to connect mid-week to worship and play. We open our gym and game room at 5:30 for students to come and hangout or enjoy all the pizza you can eat and one drink for just $2.50. Activities start at 6pm. Hope to see you there!
