WE ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU IN JESUS' NAME!
1 Corinthians 12:25... "that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it."
God's people in the church need to care for one another and meet each other's needs. Three times Jesus asked Peter, "Lovest thou me?" (John 21:15–17). Peter responded every time, "Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee." Jesus said, "Then feed My sheep." He was saying, "You're a shepherd, Peter. Take care of My people."
Praying and walking together as a church family through some of life's most difficult circumstances describes the heart of the Pastoral Care Ministry at First Baptist Matthews.
We count it a joy to serve the body of Christ during hospitalization, times of grief and during later years of life through homebound and nursing home visitation. In times of death our team looks to meets the needs of each family in remembering their loved ones and assisting through our Mercy and Bereavement teams to provide a meal for family.
