Disaster Relief Ministry (view pictures here)

FBCM Disaster Relief Ministry meets the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of people during hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters.  Providing meals, cleaning up destroyed areas, and repairing homes are a few of the ways we respond to a disaster.  Periodic volunteer training sessions on mass feeding, recovery, clean-up and emergency child care will be offered and required for certain types of work.
      Needs:
  • People to do construction repairs to homes, churches, etc.
  • People to do minor and some major clean up.
  • People to assist in the feeding ministry for affected people and workers serving the area.


Men's Prison Ministry
Directors: Sidney & Patsy Knight
This ministry serves three different men's prisons on alternating Sundays throughout the month. Ministry teams go into the prison to lead worship, pray, and share Jesus Christ with the inmates.
      Needs:
  • People to sing, play instruments, and lead congregational singing.
  • People to pray and be with the team and talk with inmates before/after the services.
  • People to preach and teach the Word of God and share testimonies during worship services.


Blanket America Ministries (learn more here)

     Blanket Appalachia
FBCM launched its first 501C3 mission ministry in 2006.  This ministry needs your physical support annually to participate in an annual weekend mission trip in November, where over 200 people go into four states in the Appalachia Region to assist churches in meeting the needs of their community and sharing the gospel with all participants.
      Needs:
  • People needed to drive vans & serve in churches to provide items taken & share the gospel.
  • People to serve churches in whatever ways they need our help.
  • People to be a part of the feeding team that provides meals.
  • People to serve as team leaders for many ministry locations.
 
     Love Thy Neighbor
This ministry makes weekly deliveries of gently used clothing, furniture, and toys from FBCM to Baptist ministry centers in VA, TN, KY, and WV.
      Needs:
  • Donations of non-perishable food items, clothing, furniture, household appliances, toys, bedding, etc.
  • People to assist in making local pick-ups of donated items.
  • People to share driving and delivery responsibilities(round trip in one day).
 

Angel Tree Ministry
Director: Mitzi Wiggins
Our Angel Tree Ministry takes place every fall and is a way to ensure that all the children in one of our ministry areas of Appalachia receive Christmas gifts and the true message of Christmas, Jesus Christ.
      Needs:
  • People needed to assist leaders in ministry to work a pick-up & promotion area during church service times.
  • People to help box and load the gifts after they are returned by church members.

 

Andrew II Partners in Missions (download brochure here)
Director: Ed and Dot Thaggard
Household items are collected at several churches in South Carolina and monthly deliveries of clothes, furniture, Bibles, etc., are made to ministry distribution centers located in Appalachian region of Virginia.
In addition to sharing physical items we are sharing the gospel.
      Needs:
  •   People to make pick-ups locally.
  •   People to drive loads to distribution locations.
  •   People to ride with drivers and assist loading and unloading deliveries.


Billy Graham TV/Telephone Counseling Ministry
Director: Martha Graham
Billy Graham Classic Telecasts are shown 52 Wednesdays a year and quarterly a week long live Billy Graham Crusade is telecast throughout North America and Canada. We are one of the 40 "Call Centers" throughout North America that answers callers responding to the gospel message from these telecasts. A one-time training class is required to participate in this awesome ministry.
Needs:
  •  People to serve as phone counselors.
  •  People to pray while counselors are taking calls.
  •  People to serve in the following leadership positions: Counselor Assist Team, Call Center Director Assistants, Administrative Support Call Flow Distribution, Ministry Recruiters and Ministry Training Team.
 
 

Conejo Church Plant
Director:Rex Bolden
Partnering with in the Conejo Church in Los Angeles, CA in church planting through physical, financial, and prayer support.
