At First Baptist Church of Matthews, we believe that children can learn that God loves them from the earliest stages of life through the benefit of a loving church experience. Because we feel so strongly that all children, regardless of age, should be in church, we provide Shepherd Groups at 9:00 am and Worship Care at 10:30 am every Sunday morning.
Worship Care is a ministry to our parents and their children birth to kindergarten. The children participate in Bible stories, music, crafts and free play, with friends in a nurturing atmosphere provided by loving teachers.
Worship Care is a cooperative effort of the parents and other caring adults of our church. Each parent is asked to volunteer once every six weeks so that our ministry is adequately staffed. Volunteers are professionally screened and trained in order to provide the safest, most secure environment we can provide.
