Student Ministries (7th-12th grades) at First Baptist Church of Matthews strives to develop young, passionate followers of Christ who are God-Centered, Spirit-Driven and People-Focused. To do this we focus on three main objectives; Reach, Teach, Release.
Reach: Personally connect with students through opportunities inside and outside of structured FBCM programs. Break down self-focus and cultivate a vision in students for the world around them with a burden to bring every person closer to Jesus.
Teach: Provide students a solid foundation in their relationship and fellowship with Jesus Christ. Develop a workable knowledge of the Scriptures while embracing their true identity found in Christ, their personal day to day experience with their Lord and Savior, and equipping them with the tools necessary to effectively engage their world.
Release: Confidently send students out into the world as true disciples who are empowered to continue His work with the gifts and talents He has given them along with living a life that is marked by those characteristics representative of Jesus Christ.
